My wellness & beauty travel Necessities

I have a few things I just cannot live without when it comes to my wellness and skin/haircare routines, even on vacation. I recently shared a quick IG story graphic of these items but I thought I’d make a blog just to show you why these are the items I choose to bring with me absolutely everywhere! P.S. there are a few more items I’ve listed below that are not included in the graphic. Scroll down to the bottom for a few travel containers I use to bring my own things like shampoo and conditioner, and my favorite toiletry bags.

Let’s start with wellness first.

Wellness Items:

  • AG1 - I know my eating won’t be 100% while on vacation. So I love having these greens full of vitamins, minerals, and a probiotic to support my gut with all of the eating out. I try to eat as many veggies as I can when traveling, but this is like my insurance that my body is still getting what it needs each day even if my meals aren’t cutting it.

  • Nuum - my favorite hydration tablets. I am dehydration city when traveling, anyone else?!

  • Fruit and Veggie Capsules - fruits, veggies, and berries in a capsule form. They are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. For me this translates to energy, bloat, and inflammation support. And friends, they actually are the best hangover cure. I don’t drink much as it is, so when drinking on vacation I always make sure to take these after a drink or two to help prevent a headache the next day! You can see a bit more about which ones I use here.

  • Supplements - ritual vitamins, hormone supplements (specific to the protocol my naturopath created for me), magnesium, melatonin, and Nutrafol. If you’d like to hear more about which brands I like for these vitamins, let me know in the comments, or send me a DM on instagram and I’ll be sure to share!

  • Collagen/Matcha - Whenever I am bringing a checked bag as opposed to a carry on I like to bring my favorite vanilla collagen and matcha as well. I mix my matcha with hot water and collagen, or mix the collagen into coffee every morning for a clean energy boost. I love knowing that I am getting good quality protein in my body during breakfast, regardless of what is available to me. This is the brand I love.

Hair:

  • Kerastase heat protectant - Because hotel shampoo and conditioner just doesn’t cut it. This leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and protected from the styling tools I always use while on vacation.

Skincare:

  • Elta MD sunscreen - The absolute best for under makeup.

  • Origins drink up mask - Anyone else scary dry after travel days? This is the only thing that ever helps me!

  • Biologique Rochere Lotion P50 - Part of my daily routine, but I especially like it for those days my skin is just feeling dirty after sightseeing, or clogged from where layers of sunscreen all day. This is the one that I use, but there are 4 different kinds for different skin types.

Organization

If you’re like me, half of your suitcase is wellness, skin, and hair products. So I thought I’d show you a few things I use to help minimize space and keep things organized.

  • Travel toiletry bag - I just got this one for my birthday and have been using it since. I love the look, but especially the size. It fits surprisingly a lot for it’s size. I like that you can personalize them with these patches. You could also label them like “makeup", “undies” etc!

  • Carry-on friendly liquid bottles - I like these because I can fill them with whatever I need for that trip, rinse them out and use them for something different the next trip. I usually use these for my shampoo/conditioner, lotion, and toner.

And that’s really it! Do you have any products you can’t live without that I missed?
