Christmas Gift Guide 2021 - Experiences!
Christmas gift experiences for the person who has it all.
A couple of weeks ago I put out a question box on Instagram asking you guys what type of gift you need ideas for most. A few of the responses were gifts for the person who has it all, especially if you follow the same bloggers and influencers. I thought this was SUCH a good idea.
Recently I keep finding myself saying I’d rather have more experiences than things. Don’t get me wrong, I love shopping and let’s be real, gifts is my love language ha! BUT what feels even more special as a gift in my opinion is when someone gifts a really thoughtful experience that comes as a complete surprise.
For the person who you feel has it all, this year try gifting them an experience they may love. I’ve put together a list of ideas for you and I hope this gets the create juices flowing for you!
Experiences to gift:
A personal styling session
My friend, Alexa, is a fashion stylist and has the coolest outfit ideas. As someone who loves clothes, I think this would be such a fun gift. She can even help you put together outfits from the clothes you already own. Click here to see her website for options.
Spa Day
Either together or just for them. For this one I think it’d be fun to book them something you know they wouldn’t book for themselves. Maybe they always go for the cost effective option, try booking them a hot stone massage with an essential oil add on or something along those lines. You might even check Groupon!
Tickets
What is something they absolutely love? Can you find tickets to an event around it? If they love a certain band or dj, can you find a concert? If they love theater, is there a Broadwayshow near you? Or maybe they love photography, is there a professional photographer near you who puts on photography experiences where you can learn all their tricks? Again, check Groupon!
Cooking Class
Cooking classes are so fun. The perfect gift for anyone who loves to cook or just loves food! You might even think about purchasing them a Masterclass subscription with endless cooking classes!
Makeup Day
When I was younger I remember my Mom taking me to one of the nice department stores in Chicago to get my makeup done by one of the makeup artists at Bobbi Brown, and then she bought me a few of my favorite items. Such a fun gift idea that goes above and beyond.
Wine Tasting/Experience
Go for a day trip to wine taste. Or, if you don’t have any reasonable options near you, find an experience for a virtual wine tasting. Purchasing a wine subscription like Winc for them is also a fun idea.
Adventure Challenge
Tyler gave me the Adventure Challenge Couples Edition book and a polaroid camera around our wedding. The Adventure Challenge is a book of scratch off adventure dates (they have solo, family, and couples editions) that very by cost, duration, and equipment needed. Part of the adventure challenge is taking a photo during the date and stick it into the book when you’re done. It then turns into a little collection of fun adventures to look back on!
Travel Gift Card
Either an Airbnb gift card for a night or two, or an experience, or even an airline gift card would be such a great gift. I’d personally go for an airline gift card!
